Faced with a dated ranch house on a spectacular site, the client wished to add more space and redesign the house to take advantage of the views from the site.

The old house did not take advantage of the views. We added a second floor and expansive porches, and reoriented the living spaces to face views across the Dorset valley. A new landscape plan will improve the presentation of the house. To help the client visualize both the exterior appearance and interior spaces, we used 3D modeling. Photographs of the site were used as a backdrop for a working interior model to help with window and door arraignments.
